    About the daily word search

Where do the words come from? Every puzzle is built from the vocabulary of that day's English story, so the words you hunt for are words you can then meet in a real sentence. Seeing a word, finding it letter by letter, and then reading it in context is a far stronger way to remember it than a list alone.

Which level should I choose? The A2 puzzle uses elementary everyday vocabulary. The B1 puzzle uses intermediate words from the same story. Both are free, and you can play either one.

Can I use this in class? Yes. The printable worksheet has the grid, the word list with definitions, and an answer key, so you can hand it out on paper. It is free to use and share.

More practice Every story in the archive has its own word search too.
