    In this lesson, you will learn common action verbs in English. These are simple verbs that describe what we do every day in our routines and activities.

    📖 A Busy Morning

    Every morning, Tom wakes up at 7 o'clock and drinks a glass of water.

    He eats breakfast with his family, then he walks to the bus stop.

    At work, he reads emails, writes reports, and listens to his colleagues.

    In the evening, he runs in the park and then sits down to study English.

    Different ways to move from one place to another:

    • go – to move from one place to another
    • come – to move towards a place
    • run – to move very fast
    • sit – to rest on a chair
    • stand – to be on your feet

    Using Simple Verbs

    1. Present Simple Form

    For I, you, we, they, use the base form of the verb.

    • I eat breakfast
    • They walk to school
    • We study English

    2. Third Person Singular (he/she/it)

    Add -s or -es to the verb when using he, she, or it.

    • She eats lunch
    • He works every day
    • It goes fast

    3. Negative Forms

    Use don't (do not) with I/you/we/they and doesn't (does not) with he/she/it.

    • I don't drink coffee
    • She doesn't like vegetables
    • They don't work on Sundays

    4. Question Forms

    Use Do with I/you/we/they and Does with he/she/it to make questions.

    • Do you eat meat?
    • Does he work here?
    • Do they study together?

    Tips and Common Errors

    Remember the -s/-es Rule

    Always add -s or -es to verbs when the subject is he, she, or it.

    Examples: He eats / She goes / It works

    Common Mistakes

    ❌ She go to work. → ✓ She goes to work.

    ❌ He don't like coffee. → ✓ He doesn't like coffee.

    ❌ Do she work here? → ✓ Does she work here?

    • Write down your daily routine using these simple verbs. For example: 'I wake up at 7 AM. I eat breakfast. I go to work.'
    • Practice saying what you do right now. 'I am eating.' 'I am studying.' This helps you learn verbs naturally.
    • Make flashcards with the verb on one side and an example sentence on the other. Review them every day.
    • Watch simple English videos about daily routines and listen for these verbs. Try to repeat them out loud.
