    Sofia and the Missing Reservation

    Name: ______________________   Date: ____________

Sofia had been looking forward to visiting the aquarium for weeks, and when she finally arrived at the entrance, the excitement she felt was difficult to contain. She joined the queue and spent the waiting time imagining the displays of deep-sea creatures she was about to see. When she reached the front, she opened her bag with confidence, only to feel her stomach drop. No matter how many times she searched through her pockets and checked every section of her bag, she simply could not locate her ticket. The people in the queue behind her began to shift impatiently, and Sofia's cheeks flushed with embarrassment. She took a slow breath, reminding herself that panicking would not help, and turned to face the attendant at the desk.

The attendant, a calm and friendly young man named Marco, immediately noticed her distress. "It looks like you might have run into a problem," he said, keeping his voice low so that others nearby would not overhear. "I booked my ticket online earlier this week," Sofia explained, "but I can't seem to find any record of it in my bag or on my phone." Marco nodded thoughtfully and asked her to confirm her name and the email address she had used when making the reservation. After typing steadily for a moment, his expression relaxed into a reassuring smile. "I've found your booking," he said. "It happens more often than you'd think, so please don't be embarrassed." Working together, they confirmed the details on screen, and Marco issued her a replacement ticket without any fuss.

Sofia accepted the printed ticket with genuine relief and thanked Marco warmly for his patience and efficiency. "Honestly, I was dreading that you wouldn't be able to find it," she admitted with a small laugh. Marco reassured her that the system was designed precisely for situations like this, and that no visit should be spoiled by something so easily resolved. As Sofia stepped through the entrance and into the cool, blue-lit corridors of the aquarium, she reflected on how smoothly the problem had been handled. What had threatened to ruin her morning had instead turned into a small reminder that most difficulties, when faced calmly and with a little help, are far less serious than they first appear. She paused in front of the first great tank and smiled, ready to enjoy every moment of her visit.
