    Every morning, Emma looks out of her window. The blue sky is bright and the yellow sun is shining.

    She puts on her red jacket and picks up her green bag before leaving the house.

    Primary Colors

    Red

    Common Mistakes to Avoid

    ✓ Correct: This is a red car. (don't forget the article 'a')

    ✓ Correct: The sky is blue. (use 'is' with singular subjects)

    ❌ Wrong: I like the green color.

    ✓ Correct: I like green. or I like the color green. (avoid redundant phrasing)

    ❌ Wrong: My favorite color are blue.

    ✓ Correct: My favorite color is blue. (use 'is' with singular favorite)

    ❌ Wrong: This is an yellow banana.

    ✓ Correct: This is a yellow banana. (use 'a' before consonant sounds)

    Remember that colors come before nouns: "a red apple," not "an apple red"
